PEDALS & PUCKS – coming in 2019

“Pedals & Pucks”,a new local fundraiser, was held on May 19, 2017 and sponsored by the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation. The Foundation has already started planning for the 2019 “Pedal & Pucks” event that promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The Warren County Safe & Quality Bicycling Organization is please to support the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation in its efforts to benefit hockey and to promote safe bicycling. Net proceeds from the rides will support the “Keep Hockey Here” initiative.

Pre-registration will be done online through BikeReg.com – online cycling event registration.

The first 100 registrants will receive a commemorative dri-fit t-shirt the day of the ride.

To give everyone an idea of the day’s event, here is a recap of 2018 Events: 40-mile bicycling tour/20-mile cycling tour/Kids Bike Rodeo (Boy Scout Project)
Cost per participant: $40 entry fee for either ride/Bike Rodeo no charge
All events start and end at Cool Insuring Arena (aka “The Civic Center”)

Rest stops: 20-mile Ride on Beach Rd., Lake George; 40-mile Ride at Hudson Crossing Park, Schuylerville (refreshments, snacks, & restrooms)

           Cool Insuring Arena- Head South on Route 9 / crossing Hudson River Bridge

.7       Left at the Red light at the South end of the bridge onto Hudson Avenue

1.6     Left on Harrison Avenue

2.1     Right on Sisson Road (follow Sisson Road to Fort Edward Road)

3.3     Left on Fort Edward Road

5.2     Right at the stop sign on Route 197

5.21    Immediate Left on West River Road (Stay on West River Road for 10 miles)

15.22  At the stop sign, take a left on Route 32

16.1     Intersection with Route 4… follow Route 4 South

17.3     Left into Hudson Crossing Park (Look for Boat ride Sign)

18.0    Rest stop at Hudson Crossing Park Pavilion

18. 1   Cross the pedestrian / cycling bridge from Hudson Crossing park onto Route 70

19. 1   Follow Route 70 to Route 113 . At the stop sign take a left on Rt 113

21.2    Intersection with Route 4 , take a right . Follow Route 4 North for 7.5 miles

28.7    Take a right on Blackhouse Road

30.6   Left on Durkeetown Road (First Stop sign you will encounter on Blackhouse Rd)

32.2   Right on Route 4 at the stop sign. Follow Route 4 north into village of Fort Edward

33.2   Left on Route 197 West (Stewarts on the corner )

35.7   Follow Route 197 West to Burt Road. Right on Burt Rd

36.4   Right on Reservoir Rd.

37.3   Left on Fort Edward Rd. Follow Fort Edward Rd into the Village of South Glens Falls

39. 0  After St. Mary’s Cemetery take a Right Wilson Ave. / Straight onto Hudson Ave.

39. 7   Right on Route 9 North across Hudson River Bridge
