The Ti Ride Full Lake Boat Cruise involves bicycling from the Lake George Steamboat Company dock on Beach Street, Lake George, north to the Steamboat Landing (Baldwin’s Dock) in Ticonderoga (40-50 miles). Bicyclists meet, board the Mohican with their bikes, and then enjoy a leisurely cruise back to Lake George Village. The rides are unsupported and each rider is responsible to arrive at dock on time. The Mohican will carry your backpack or bag up to Ticonderoga for you, and bring your bicycle back on the Mohican with you.
Ride Details: Date: Sunday, August 18th, 2019.
Park your car at the Lake George Steamboat Company lot across from the Steel Pier (nominal parking fee for the day). You may load your personal bag on the Mohican’s bow before departing on your ride.
Start time: 7:00 am (recommended): Ride from Lake George Village (earlier if you need more time to cover the 40-50 mile ride).
Routes: 2 ride options from Lake George Village:
- Route 1: Route 9N through Lake George Village; follow 9N north through Bolton Landing and over Tongue Mountain to The Hague (39.7 miles) then…
- Route 2: Route 9 through Lake George Village to Warrensburg ; follow Schroon River Rd. to Brant Lake, Rt. 8 over Graphite Mt. into The Hague (48.5 miles) then… From the Hague, both routes ride 8.2 miles north on Rte. 9N. Just after the Ice Cream spot, turn right on Alexandria Ave.; right on Baldwin Rd., then left on Cottage Rd. to Baldwin Dock boat landing.
WARNING: Road surface over Tongue Mountain is in poor condition. The recommended route is to ride over Graphite Mountain.
NOTE: The Mohican is scheduled to arrive at the Steamboat Landing at 12:15 pm. Return trip on the Mohican to the Lake George Steel Pier by 4:00pm. It is highly recommended that cyclists arrive at the dock by 11.45 pm. If you are late, you will miss the boat!
