Growing NY’s Trails

New York’s Growing Trails
Network Needs YOUR Help!

The New York State Senate and Assembly passed legislation in June (S.4416B/A.5035B) to require the State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to develop a coordinated plan for linking existing and potential individual trail corridors to create a statewide, interconnected multi-use trail.  Thanks to the leadership of Assemblymember Patricia Fahy and Senator Anna Kaplan and many cosponsors and supporters, plus the advocacy of Parks & Trails New York and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and all of you, we are so close to making huge progress on creating an integrated trail network across New York.

But the fight to get our state a multi-use trail plan is not over yet! To become law, the bill must be signed by the Governor before the end of 2019.

We need your voice to tell the governor how important
this trails plan would be for creating a statewide
interconnected network of multi-use trails.
